Every year, IJM releases a Holiday Gift Catalog that offers supporters a unique chance to give directly to any need they wish to address. This publication is a massive undertaking, and I am honored that I could work on the catalog for several years.
This catalog is from 2018, and features several of my favorite pages.
All of the copy was written by me, and each spread featuring a casework type features the unique story of a survivor. When I got these stories from our brilliant story gathering team, many of them were several pages long. My challenge was to edit pages of great content down to the most essential four or five paragraphs.
Gift descriptions have their own challenges, too. As often as I could, I was intentional to include language like “You can…” or “With your help…” in order to bring the reader closer to their potential impact.
