ESTOY AQUÍ

Our team was responsible for both getting advocates to fly to DC from around the country for an advocacy summit, as well as convince thousands of supporters to sign petitions to help protect Central American women and children.

As the copy lead on this project, I worked with our design lead to build a campaign rooted in simple, powerful language. This was also IJM’s first-ever campaign that utilized Spanish.

For anyone interacting with the campaign, “I am here” held two meanings, each one coming to the surface at different times throughout the campaign.

First, Estoy Aquí: Central American women and children who have experienced abuse are fighting for justice, and they are asking you to see them, believe them, and recognize their humanity and dignity.

Second, I Am Here: For our incredible supporters who are flying to DC, they will stand in the halls of power and proclaim “I am here” for women and children in need of our help.

On the day of the advocacy summit, hundreds of supporters arrived, meeting with representatives from nearly every state, while thousands more signed and sent in petitions.
